Two great things that (don’t) go great together:
Bicycle Window Box- For the transient gardener.
A window box for the cyclist who is always on the move, or cycle tourist needing nutritious strawberries and beansprouts..
or simply for someone without a garden….or a moron,(like me).
No, seriously – on a purely practical level I don’t think these go together. The window box would be very heavy, and whizzing around would be a bit rough on young seedlings. But I love it visually, conceptually, aesthetically…

Check out this project to build a 1-acre working vegetable farm, producing local produce for Brooklyn, on a rooftop.
Aside from the intrinsic interest of the project – and the importance of urban agriculture to creating sustainable cities and a sustainable society – the “Kickstarter” site is an interesting experiment in alternative funding.
